Over the weekend there were a bunch of rainstorms that came through L.A. which is very RARE. Having recently relocated to L.A. it has been a surprise to have had so much rain and it's definitely not usual. Cleveland, my hometown, gets a ton of rain, so I'm starting to think this might be more than a coincidence ;) Though it was unusual for the locals here, to me it feels like home.

If you're anything like me, I can't help but feel that the world is more upside down than ever, and I try to resist feeling pulled into the crazy vortex which seems to persist at this current point of time. I have been working on leaning into this discomfort, however it has not been easy. I have found that it has affected the kind of music I am drawn to listening to. As of late, I want to listen to cello or piano instrumentals, so I thought I would share my current mood playlist with you today. Valentine's Day is becoming less and less a day celebrating romantic relationships and one that celebrates love. Love for your closest friends and family, love for that significant other you have in your life, and also love for yourself.
The start of the year has shown continuations of many trends that have been prevalent in previous years, however there are several trends that have evolved into something new entirely. There has been a refresh on trends that speak to humanist qualities, that I believe reflects the current cultural subconscious.
